(Read more about Martin Renton here).
Workshop synopsis We
would like the delegates to leave the workshop with something practical
to try out with their students, and also a sense of the importance of
reflection and action in their own professional development. Martin
Renton will therefore share some tools for developing independent
learning and challenge, so the teachers can see how dialogue might
encourage deeper learning. This will build up the idea of learning
through facilitating and reflective practice, and we will focus on the
Dreyfus model as a tool to consider how we scaffold and support novice
learners and encourage them to move along the scale in the context of
hairdressing.
The workshop will be interactive and practical, the
delegates will have chance to talk, reflect and learn together and
consider how we might encourage their students to talk more, think more,
and become more reflective in their learning.
- GALA dinner and Awards ceremony at Varbergs Stadshotell at 8 pm
Monday, April 30
