General info:

• Vacination: Check this out with your doctor or at the local health station.
• Comfortable shoes for culture day.
• Shopping will be possible during culture day (and on Thursday 20th. for those arriving on Wednesday in Seoul).
• Because of the time difference (for most of us) we recommend that you arrive in South Korea a day or two before the annual meeting starts. That way you can adjust yourself to the new time zone in time for the meeting.
  

Cellular/Mobilephone: 

• There is no GSM or NMT mobile network in South Korea so most of you cannot use your regular mobilephone. Though it is possible to hire one at the airport if needed.
  
  

Transport:

• A bus will be hired for those of us that are coming from Scandinavia. Please contact us if you want to save a seat. The ticket price will be 120000 Won or appr.40Euro. The bus ticket will include transport from the airport to the hotel in Seoul on Wednesday (2 hours), transport around Seoul on Thursday and transport on Daegu on Friday 21th (4 hours).
• For the return you might wanna take the plane from Daegu to Seoul airport on Tuesday 25th at 0720. The plane ticket costs about 50 Euro. There are also trains and buses going from Daegu to Seoul. The bus/train takes about 2-4 hours and 2 hours from Seoul to the airport.
• Travel sickness:  You might want to bring tablets against travel sickness.
