Turku Vocational Institute is a vocational teaching centre which is highly valued by its 4500 Finnish and foreign students, its 600 expert instructors, as well as employers in the Turku Area. The Institute is one of the largest vocational institutes in Finland, offering a total of 1300 starting places every year.
Modern vocational training
Turku Vocational Institute offers both young people and adults a wide range of vocational courses in collaboration with the business sector, the retail trade, food industry, technical, and the health and welfare sectors including hairdressing and beauty care. The versatile and wide ranging educational programs offer to students the possibility of designing their own individual study program. The extent of secondary vocational training is 3 years (120 credits). All vocational examinations contain at least half a year on the job training.
A number of international exchange programs provide the possibility of compensating for study or work practice done elsewhere in Europe. And you can choose from several different languages for your studies.
